Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park
In the heart of the
Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, outdoor activities such as walking,
hill climbing, golfing, mountain biking, horse riding, fishing, sailing and
watersports are widespread, while the city of Glasgow and its abundance of
shops, restaurants and
historical attractions is only a 45 minute drive away. A regular train service
is available from Balloch, a few minutes taxi ride from Mackie Lodge.
The
Loch Lomond area has a wealth of attractions, including Stirling Castle, Rennie
Mackintosh's Hill House, and the Glengoyne Whisky Distillery. The Nearby Lomond
Shores houses the famous Jenner’s department store, and the quaint lochside
villages of Luss, Drymen and Balmaha are all within easy reach.
